Romanian archdiocese inaugurates medical rehabilitation centre

His Eminence Calinic of Argeș and Muscel blessed last week a new medical rehabilitation centre created by the Archdiocese within a parish in Pitești, near the Capital city.

The medical staff participated in the service and the hierarch spoke of the important role of the doctors in society: they have been blessed with the gift of treating suffering people.

The centre has a charitable mission, being destined for those who do not have money to get treatment elsewhere. It can receive orthopedic and neurological patients.

There are also experts in Occupational Therapy who cand work with disabled children and with the elderly who need motivation to stay active in social life.

The project has been made in partnership with the Yvoris Medical Centres. Special focus will be on prevention, but also on treatment where necessary.

A similar centre was inaugurated this month in Curtea de Argeș, Romania.
