His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III celebrated the 19th anniversary of his enthronement as Patriarch of Jerusalem on Sunday.
The occasion was marked by a thanksgiving service at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, followed by a festive gathering in the Throne Hall of the Patriarchal Palace.
Archimandrite Teofil Anăstăsoaie, the superior of the Romanian Settlements in the Holy Land, also attended the celebrations, delivering a congratulatory message from His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel of Romania.

“I conveyed the message of congratulations from His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, in which he extended kind thoughts and prayers for peace, especially during these troubled times when the Middle East is surrounded by war, this grievous scourge of our age,” the archimandrite told Trinitas TV.
“We also hope that Romanian pilgrims will return to the Holy Land when conditions allow and that His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III will receive strength and wisdom from God to continue his leadership,” added Archimandrite Teofil Anăstăsoaie.
Patriarch Theophilos III was elected Patriarch of Jerusalem on August 22, 2005.
