Patriarch Irinej of Serbia will stay in Switzerland from August 31 to September 4

On August 6, 2018, in his patriarchal residence of Belgrade, Patriarch Irinej of Serbia received Bishop Andrej of Austria-Switzerland (Serbian Orthodox Church) and Mrs. Snežana Janković, the ambassador of Serbia in Switzerland, reports orthodoxie.com.

Bishop Andrej and the ambassador thanked the patriarch for his warm welcome. During their meeting, they discussed the preparations for the patriarchal visit to the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Austria-Switzerland from August 31 to September 4, 2018.

On September 1, Patriarch Irinej will celebrate the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Trinity in Zurich, and on September 2, he will consecrate the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Bern. A meeting with senior ecclesiastical dignitaries and state officials will take place on September 3.

At the meeting were also present Stavrophore Monk Stanko Marković, the Serbian Orthodox Episcopal Vicar for Switzerland, and Deacon Alexander Prašćević, the Chief of Staff of the Serbian Orthodox Patriarch.
