Dacia Felix Bishop visits elderly persons at Vršac retirement home

His Grace Bishop Ieronim of Dacia Felix visited a retirement home in Vršac, Serbia, to give his blessing and gifts to the residents as part of the observance of the Solemn Year of the pastoral care of the elderly.

The visit took place on December 22.

During the pastoral visit, the residents were presented with a complimentary meal on behalf of the Dacia Felix Diocese.

In the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (Serbia), there are 38 Romanian parishes organized in six deaneries, serving at least 20,000 Romanians.

The Romanians residing in this region are legally entitled to attend liturgical services and institutions conducted in the Romanian language. Conversely, the situation differs for the 380,000 Romanians living in the Timok Valley, as they are not entitled to a religious service conducted in the Romanian language, as mandated by law.
