Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău offers support to families of deceased clergy

Families of deceased priests from the Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău received gifts last Saturday as part of the Church’s ongoing support initiatives.

“The Church’s care for these families stands as a testament to God’s love, which, through us, becomes tangible and healing,conveyed His Eminence Archbishop Ioachim in a video message.

The event, preceded by a memorial service, was part of the archdiocesan project titled A Father in Heaven, a Parent on Earth and took place at theSaint GeorgeChurch in Bacău.

“This project reminds us of our duty to stand by those who have lost the cornerstone of their families, offering not only material support but, most importantly, emotional and spiritual solace,stated Fr. Ilarion Mâță, the Archdiocese’s Social-Philanthropic Sector Advisor.

The gifts distributed included monetary assistance, toys, and sweets.

The Archbishop’s delegate, Archimandrite Pimen Costea, diocesan administrative vicar, oversaw the event.

“This project continues to foster communion and solidarity for families in need, providing them with both material and spiritual support throughout the year,the Archdiocese representatives emphasized.
