Working Session Of The Clergy Of District 2 Deanery Of Bucharest

From 15 – 16 June 2016, the working session of the clergy of district 2 deanery of Bucharest was held at the Holy Cross Caraiman Monastery.

“The meeting was held for two days time in two parts: an administrative part chaired by rev archpriest Ion Popescu, and a cultural – pastoral one chaired by rev Aurel Mihai – administrative vicar and delegate of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel”, rev Ciprian Tudor said.

Thursday, 16 June 2016, during the latter part of the meeting, three lectures were delivered. Rev vicar Aurel Mihai spoke about the Dignity of the priest’s service; rev. Liviu Nechita, Patriarchal Counsellor and servant priest at the Icon church of Bucharest delivered a lecture on the “History and Importance of Building the Cathedral for the Nation’s Salvation”; and rev Dragos Caprioru from Otetari parish delivered the lecture entitled “Clergy and laics, active members and confessors of the Romanian Orthodox Church”.

Thursday, 16 June 2016, at the end of the day, the clergy visited Peles Castle.
