The Patriarch Of Jerusalem Comes To Romania To Bring A Particle Of The Holy Cross Wood

From 24 – 27 October 2014, His Beatitude Theophilos III, Patriarch of Jerusalem, will be present at the feast of Saint Pious Dimitrios the New, Protector of Bucharest, at the invitation of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania.

Friday, 24 October 2014, 12.30 hours, His Beatitude Theophilos III, Patriarch of Jerusalem will arrive in Bucharest, to bring a particle of the Holy Cross wood embedded in an icon of the Saints Emperors Constantine and Helen.

At 13.00 hours, the Way of the Saints procession will start at the Joy Hill, from the Brancovean Cross till the Patriarchal Cathedral. The objects of the procession will be: the icon with a particle of the Holy Cross embedded, the relics of Saint Martyr Prince Constantine Brancoveanu, and the relics of Saint Pious Dimitrios the New. They will be laid for veneration under the canopy close to the Patriarchal Cathedral.
