The new Metropolitan of Kananga, Theodosius, has been enthroned

On Sunday, February 24, the new Metropolitan Theodosius of Kananga was enthroned by Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa, Romfea informs.

The enthronement took place at St Andrews Cathedral in Kananga.

The Patriarch of Alexandria spoke warmly about the enthroned Metropolitan of Kananga and gave him advice, promptings and instructions for the pastoral care of the people of God.

He told the new Metropolitan that he would not be alone in the struggle of his Mission, but the Patriarch, as well as the cities of Patra and Agrinio, the cities with which he is connected, will be by his side.

The Metropolitan of Kananga, deeply excited, said among other things that he was called upon to take over the pastoral care of Kananga and Kashay, regions that have been glorified by eminent figures of the church.

He also thanked all the High Priests, and especially the temporal bishop of the Metropolis, Metropolitan Nicephorus of Kinshasa, the Governor of Kananga and the Consul General of Greece in Congo.
