The assembly of hierarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarchate will take place from 1 to 3 September in Constantinople, according to a communique received from the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
This assembly, which will examine issues concerning the Church of Constantinople and, more broadly, Orthodoxy, is carried out in the framework of an earlier decision according to which patriarchal hierarchies around the world meet all three years.
The previous meeting was held in August of 2015.
