Patriarch Irinej consecrates a church in Botswana

His Beatitude Patriarch Irinej consecrated, on October 27 2018, a new church dedicated to the first Serbian Archbishop, St. Sava in Gaborone, capital city of the state of Botswana.

Concelebrants included Metropolitan Genadios of Gaborone and Botswana – Patriarchate of Alexandria, Bishop Jovan of Sumadija, archpriest-stavrophor Dragi Veskovac, hieromonk Amvrosije Vesic, priests and deacons.

The Serbian ambassador in the South African Republic, Bozin Nikolic, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Botswana, Viktor Sibilov, Consul of the Embassy of Serbia in Pretoria, Sasha Mart and a large number of serbs attended the event, Serbian Orthodox Church reports.
