Patriarch Daniel attends Parliament’s special joint sitting dedicated to Romania’s National Day

A solemn joint sitting of the two chambers of the Romanian Parliament, namely the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, was held Monday, December 2.

The joint session was dedicated to the National Day of Romania and was attended by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, President Klaus Iohannis, PM Ludovic Orban, Crown Princess Margareta, the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies speakers Teodor Meleşcanu and Marcel Ciolacu.

The state anthem was played at the beginning of the meeting at 14:00. President Iohannis was the first to address the Parliament.
