From 14 October 2019, The National Bank of Romania will put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, a silver coin dedicated to the 75 years since the liberation of Northern Transylvania.
Obverse: two sides of the commemorative gold medal “Ardealul Nostru”, the inscription “ROMANIA” in an arc, the coat of arms of Romania, the face value “10 LEI”, and the year of issue “2019”.
Reverse: a depiction of the Monument of the Romanian Soldier in Carei, the inscription “ELIBERAREA ARDEALULUI DE NORD” in an arc and the date when the last territory under occupation in Transylvania was liberated: “25 octombrie 1944”.
The mintage of this issue is 300 silver coins, NBR reports.
The silver coins dedicated to the 75 years since the liberation of Northern Transylvania are legal tender on the territory of Romania.
