It is with brotherly love in Christ that we congratulate Your Eminence for the election, on the 28th of February 2013, as the 6th Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
The broad pastoral, inter-Christian and interreligious experience you have acquired while working as hierarch of your Church in diaspora, in the U.S.A. and the Holy Land, is a guarantee of the pursuing of the rich and fruitful activity of your predecessor, late patriarch Abune Paulos.
We pray our Lord Jesus Christ to strengthen you in such an important service for the wellbeing of the Ethiopian Orthodox people that is entrusted to your pastoral care.
