The Metropolis of Bessarabia published impressions gathered from young participants at its Orthodox Youth Meeting ITO Bessarabia 2024. The event was organized by the Romanian Orthodox Parish “Saint Basil of Poiana Mărului” in Orhei, Republic of Moldova, with support from the Romanian government’s Department for Romanians Abroad.
In the event feedback questionnaire, one young attendee wrote, “I am glad that the Romanian Orthodox Church considers us, the youth. After all, we are also part of the Church. I am already looking forward to the next edition of ITO Bessarabia.”
Another participant shared, “For the young people of the Republic of Moldova, it was a special and unique moment. Orthodox youth must affirm their faith and national values with their brothers across the Prut.”
“Participating in ITO Bessarabia – Orhei 2024 was an extraordinary experience! I was impressed by the organization of the event and the diversity of activities offered. The atmosphere was full of positive energy, and the meetings with young people from different regions were particularly inspiring,” another young person wrote.
“The discussion sessions allowed me to learn new things and develop valuable skills. The entire event was an excellent opportunity to form lasting friendships. I highly recommend ITO Bessarabia to anyone who wants to have a memorable experience and become actively involved in the community of Orthodox youth.”
Over 200 Orthodox youth from both sides of the Prut participated in the “Gathering of Orthodox Youth from Bessarabia and Romania” – ITO Bessarabia 2024, held on July 2, 2024. The event aimed to strengthen spiritual and cultural ties between Orthodox youth in Bessarabia and Romania.
