Holy Fire to be brought to the Republic of Moldova on Holy Saturday

The Holy Fire that descends on Holy Saturday at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem will be brought to the Republic of Moldova with the help of the Romanian Patriarchate.

On Holy Saturday, Archimandrite Teofil Anăstăsoaie, the Superior of the Settlements of the Romanian Patriarchate at the Holy Places, will bring the Holy Fire to Romania.

After arriving at Bucharest’s Henri Coanda International Airport, the Holy Fire will be received by a delegation of the Metropolis of Bessarabia, led by Bishop Veniamin of Southern Bessarabia, that will take it to Chisinau, the Metropolis announced in a press release.

The delegation will be welcomed in Chisinau by Metropolitan Petru of Bessarabia and Bishop Antonie de Bălți.

The hierarchs will take the Holy Fire to the Diocesan Centres, from where it will be distributed throughout the dioceses and parishes of the Metropolis of Bessarabia.

The Holy Fire will arrive for the second consecutive year in the Metropolis of Bessarabia with the help of the Romanian Patriarchate.
