The Holy Fire arrived in Romania on Saturday evening, April 27, 2019. The plane bringing the Romanian delegation, headed by His Grace Bishop Timotei of Prahova, landed on Henri Coandă International Airport at 19:09
The Holy Fire was brought from Jerusalem to Romania for the eleventh time this year. The tradition was established by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel in 2009.
The Holy Fire descended earlier on Saturday in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, at about 2:30 PM.
