Holy Bible, writings of Fr. Dumitru Stăniloae among most wanted books published by Romanian Patriarchate

The Synodal edition of the Holy Bible and the writings and translations of Fr. Dumitru Stăniloae are among the most wanted books published by the Publishing Houses of the Romanian Patriarchate in the past years.

The Sales Department of the Publishing Houses of the Romanian Patriarchate was contacted by the Basilica News Agency and presented a ranking of the most searched for books published during the patriarchal ministry of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.

Thus, between 2007 and 2019, Romanians were interested in the Synodal edition of the Holy Bible, the New Testament with Psalms, and the Compact Bible.

Other best-selling books include the Romanian edition of the Philokalia, the writings of Father Dumitru Staniloae, Patriarch Daniel’s preaching book ‘The Gospel of Christ’s Glory,’ ‘The Hidden Man of the Heart’ by Archimandrite Zacharias Zacharou.

The list includes the Orthodox Euchologion, the Orthodox Prayer Book, several Akathists, the Lamentations at the Tomb, as well as several books for children.
