Friday, 2 September 2016, thousands of young people prayed together with the Patriarch of Romania on the Joy Hill.
After attending the spiritual conference at the Palace Hall, the young people set out in procession to the Romanian Patriarchate. Once arrived at the Patriarchate Hill, His Eminence Iosif, Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan of Western and Southern Europe celebrated the evening prayer in the presence of the Orthodox young people from all over the world.
We thank His Eminence Metropolitan Iosif, representative of the Romanian Orthodox Diaspora, for the celebration of the evening prayer. We congratulate you and thank you very much for the very nice and solemn organisation of this lights procession which has become very impressive also because about two more thousand young people from Bucharest joined the procession as a sign of solidarity, friendship and brotherly communion. We wish you all a guardian angel in peace and help from God, the Patriarch of Romania said in the end.
