Diocese of Lower Danube: Parish offers medical devices, gifts for mothers at the local maternity

“St. Parascheva” parish in the city of Brăila, on the Lower Danube, offered medical devices and gifts for mothers at the local maternity. The donation amounted to 8,000 Euros.

The medical institution received a sonographer, a ventilation device kit and special stands for medical equipment.

The parish did not neglect the mothers who were at the maternity around the feast of St. Nicholas: 25 mothers were offered baby clothes, diapers, blankets and baby wipes.

This spring, the same parish donated 1,800-Euro medical monitoring devices for premature babies.

Several Orthodox parishes in the city of Brăila offer constant support to the local maternity.

Each year, around the feast of St. Nicholas, the spiritual protector of the city, Brăila Deanery organizes charity actions in support of needy families, medical institutions and social centres.
