Celebration of Radu Voda Monastery

Today, 20 June 2016, the Holy Trinity celebrates the Holy Trinity: the God One in essence and three in Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This feast is the dedication day of Radu Voda Monastery of Bucharest as well.

On this occasion, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the place of worship by His Grace Timotei Prahoveanul, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Bucharest, assisted by a group of clergy consisting of the inhabitants of the monastic settlement – the official website of Radu Voda Monastery informs.

His Grace delivered a sermon in which he explained the significance of this important feast.

His Grace Bishop Timotei underlined the fact that the Holy Trinity is not worshipped only today, but it is a permanent celebration, making the daily focus of the Church, as She is the mystery and foundation of the Orthodox faith. The Most Holy Trinity is remembered in all the prayers of the Church, either in personal prayers or in collective ones, either as Holy Sacraments or as Divine Liturgy.

The Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Bucharest urged all the Orthodox faithful to attend the religious celebrations in order to understand the Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity.

During the Divine Liturgy His Grace Timotei Prahoveanul ordained the young theologian Daniel Novac as deacon for the parish of Pantelimon II, deanery of district II of Bucharest.
