Today, 28 October 2014, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania blessed “Family” cultural-missionary centre within “Saint Pantelimon” House, county of Ilfov.
Hierarchs, members of the Holy Synod, many priests, donors and benefactors attended the event.
To end with, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church spoke about the utility of the new cultural – missionary settlement.
“This missionary work of ours is designed first of all to promote the values of the Christian family. We shall have conferences here, colloquies, seminars dedicated to today’s Christian families, to education, as well as to aiding poor families with much faith and many children. Besides all the cultural and intellectual meetings we shall also have agapes, wedding parties, baptisms and name days, or other anniversaries. We hope to be able to build a chapel nearby. Certainly, this is only one fifth or one sixth of what it is still to be done”, His Beatitude said.
The persons who supported the renovation of “Family” cultural-missionary were awarded diplomas of worthiness.
