Bishop Visarion prayed with the inmates from Tulcea Maximum Security Prison and offered them gifts last Saturday.
At the prison’s “Holy Apostles Peter and şi Paul” Chapel, the prisoners attended the Divine Liturgy celebrated by the bishop on the feast of the Veneration of the Precious Chains of the Holy Apostle Peter.
The hierarch spoke of the origins of this religious feast, about faith and repentance and especially of man’s trust in God’s forgiveness and God’s power to straighten human life.
Bishop Visarion offered the inmates prayer cards and food gifts.
Tulcea Diocese has a 13-year long partnership with the local maximum-security prison.
