Bishop Mihail of Australia and New Zeeland visits the Diocese of Maramureş and Sătmar

His Grace Mihail, Romanian Orthodox Bishop of Australia and New Zeeland, has paid a four-day visit (4-7 March 2016) in the Diocese of Maramureş and Sătmar, on the invitation of His Grace Iustin of Sighet, Assistant Hierarch to the Diocese.

During his stay, Bishop Mihail met His Eminence Hon Archbishop Justinian at the headquarters of the Diocese in Baia Mare. During the meeting, the two hierarchs have discussed details related to pastoring the faithful from home and abroad. To be noted that His Eminence Hon Archbishop Justinian is currently the elder hierarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

His Grace Bishop Mihail has also visited Rohia and Bârsana Monasteries, some unique monastic settlements of Romania.

In his pilgrimage, Bishop Mihail was accompanied by the assistant hierarch of the Diocese of Maramureş and Sătmar, and by several advisers of the Diocesan Centre.
