Archbishops of Greece and Albania meet in Athens

Archbishop Ieronymos of Greece welcomed his Albanian counterpart, His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, at his residence in Athens, on Thursday, January 17, 2019.

The two heads of local Orthodox Churches exchanged greetings for the New Year and discussed the difficult situation in the world.

The two Orthodox Archbishops noted that ‘we are called to strengthen our faith in order to address the difficulties,’ the official website of the Greek Orthodox Church reports.

One of the topics Ieronymos and Anastasios talked about, as reported by Greek media, was the situation in Ukraine.
