February 1904 – Missionary priest Gheorghe Secaș was born in Răhau,
county of Alba. High studies at the “Andreian” Theological Academy of
Sibiu (1923 – 1927); specialized at the Faculty of Catholic Theology of
Strasbourg and at the Orthodox one in Athens (1927 – 1929); preacher and
missionary within the “Lord’s Army” (1930 – 1942); editor at newspapers
“Lumina satelor” and “Oastea Domnului” (1936 – 1948); archiepiscopal
counselor (1943 – 1954) in Sibiu; archpriest in Mediaș (1954 – 1959),
priest of “Saint Nicholas” church in Sibiu – Lazaret (1959 – 1975).
