25 February 1811 – Scholar priest Horga-Popovici Nicolae passed away in Seleus, county of Arad. Studies at the Latin College of Oradea, teacher in Șiria (1788 – 1790), hon. judge of the Arad shire (1794 – 1796), priest in Seleuș (1796 – 1811). He had a good command of foreign languages, and he was the author of a moral-historical collection of texts entitled: “The Mirror shown to the wise man, old events with examples given… “, Buda, 1807, with historical data concerning the origin and continuity of the Romanians.
