18 July 1993 – Teacher Nicolae Lungu passed away in Bucharest-conductor and composer. Seminary Studies ‘Central’ (1912-1920) and Normal School Teachers (abs. 1920), Conservatory of Bucharest (1920-1925) and Theology (abs. 1927), summer courses for conductors in Vienna (1928 – 1929). Music Teacher at high schools in Bucharest Mihai Eminescu (1927-1931) and ‘Aurel Vlaicu’ (1931-1938), at Pedagogical Seminary University ‘Titu Maiorescu’ (1939-1941), Inspector of music education (1941-1944) , teacher at Saint Sava High school (1944-1948). Founder and conductor of choral Society ‘Romania’ (1934-1949). Choir master in churches: St. Elijah – Gorgani (1921-1922), Cotroceni (1922-1928), Amza (1928-1939), St. Spiridon Nou (1940-1947). Conductor of the Romanian Patriarchy Coral (1947-1985); member of the Composers Union of Romania.
