Last week, the Metropolis of Bessarabia and the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova made a donation of spiritual and Romanian literature books to Penitentiary No. 9 – Pruncul in Chișinău.
A congratulatory and blessing message from Metropolitan Petru of Bessarabia was conveyed by Hieromonk Gurie Dumbrava, who expressed gratitude to the staff of Penitentiary No. 9 – Pruncul for their dedication and efforts in rehabilitating individuals deprived of liberty.
Marc Emilian Morar, Minister Counsellor of the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova, emphasized the importance of promoting Romanian culture and spirituality, particularly in environments where they can bring spiritual benefits, joy, and hope.
“The book donation represents not only an act of solidarity but also an invitation to reflection, introspection, and spiritual rebirth, especially during this blessed holiday season,” stated representatives of the Metropolis of Bessarabia.
This joint initiative highlights the role of the Metropolis of Bessarabia and the Romanian Embassy in social reintegration.
