Romanian priest donates blood plasma after recovering from COVID-19

After recovering from coronavirus almost one month ago, Father Ștefăniță Potra from Ilva Mică went to the Blood Transfusion Centre in Bistriţa to donate plasma to help critical Covid-19 patients.

The priest who had officiated the funeral service for a coronavirus victim later tested positive for COVID-19 in April, reports Adevarul.

The representatives of the Bistrita Blood Transfusion Center thanked Father Potra for his gesture.

“Plasma donation continues thanks to people who think about others who are in a great affliction on a hospital bed! First of all, we are humans among humans.”

‘We thank our hero today for his courage, his gesture, and we are waiting for others to donate plasma, for the new treatment procedure of COVID-19 patients that is already taking place at the Bistrita Blood Transfusion Centre,” the representatives of the Centre of Blood Transfusion Centre wrote on Facebook.
