Romanian charity association to open icon exhibition in Vienna to support children’s campaign

The Romanian charity association Glasul Vieții Association will organise a charitable icon exhibition at the Romanian Orthodox Parish of Saint John the New of Suceava Parish in Vienna.

The exhibition, entitled “Veronica”, will be inaugurated on 29 May at 18:00 at the Romanian Orthodox Chapel, Löwelstrasse 8, 1010 Vienna. The exhibition will remain open until 5 July 2026.

Soprano Eliza Băleanu and violinist Tudor Andrei will perform a recital during the opening event.

Fr Dan Damaschin, president of the Glasul Vieții Association, will speak about the organisation’s activities, through which more than 16,000 children receive support.

The exhibition is curated by Fr Răzvan Gască and Professor Alexandru Nicolau.

The icons displayed at the exhibition will be offered for sale, with proceeds supporting the project “Shoeing Barefoot Romania”, a campaign dedicated to helping disadvantaged children.
