On Monday, the Archbishop of Targoviste and patriarchal exarch, His Eminence Hon Metropolitan Nifon welcomed Her Excellency Kathleen Ann Kavalec, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Romania, at his residence in Targoviste.
The United States Ambassador toured the Doicesti Small Modular Reactor (SMR) site in Dambovita County.
Mrs. Kathleen Ann Kavalec conveyed her gratitude regarding the archdiocese’s initiative to assist Ukrainian refugees.
Subjects of discussion included the Church’s function as a moral standard, the significance of inter-Christian and inter-religious dialogue, and the pursuit of resolutions to present-day challenges on a global scale.
Kimberly Barr, economic counsellor; Jessup Taylor, Deputy economic counsellor; and Dana Stănescu, financial specialist, attended the meeting.
The Archdiocese of Târgoviște was also represented by Fr. Ionuț Adrian Ghibanu, Diocesan Vicar, and Fr. Alin Ștefan, Diocesan Secretary.
