Life and Akatistos of Saint Pious Gregory of Decapolis

The Publishing House of the Bible and Orthodox Mission Institute of the Romanian Patriarchate published, with the blessing of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, the book entitled Life and Akatistos of Saint Gregory of Decapolis, in the new collection of “Akatistos and Lives of the Saints”, as the Publishing House of the Bible and Orthodox Mission Institute informs us.

Saint Gregory of Decapolis was born and grew up in the South-East of Asia Minor, in Irinopole, one of the ten cities of Decapolis, in Isauria, to righteous parents Serghie and Maria, at the time of the fighters against the holy icons, during the rule of Lion the Armenian (183 – 820). The Romanian Orthodox Church celebrates him on 20 November.
