Archbishop Elpidophoros about people with autism: Let us support and encourage our brothers

On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America sent a message.

As he highlighted on his twitter account, “On #WorldAutismAwarenessDay let us all take care to support and encourage our brothers and sisters with autism, and especially in this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, ensure the security of their rights and progress. “

He also cites a photograph of his visit to Luv Michael in November 2019, where he blessed the new commercial kitchen and learning center in Tribeca New York.

“The youth have many questions, normally, because the youth love the world, and if I, in my long time of experience can answer some of these things, I will,” had said Archbishop Elpidophoros. “My favorite thing about the job, you know, is meeting with people and hearing about their dreams, expectations, views on God, on people, whatever it may be.”

World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day on 2 April every year, encouraging the Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about people with autistic spectrum disorders including autism and Asperger syndrome throughout the world.

It was designated by the United Nations General Assembly resolution “62/139. World Autism Awareness Day”, passed in council on 1 November 2007, and adopted on 18 December 2007.
