Spain: Children at parish school express contagious joy after receiving new horologia (PHOTOS)

On October 14, after performing a play in the presence of Bishop Timotei of Spain and Portugal, the students of Aranjuez’s parish school received prayer books. In the pictures published by the Diocese, their enthusiastic delight at receiving the gifts can be seen.

The children were presented with horologia (book of hours), while seniors received the Holy Scriptures. All the faithful were offered prayer books on behalf of His Grace Bishop Timotei.

The activity was part of the “Past, Present, Future” project, which reached its third edition. The project was carried out with the support of the Department for Romanians Abroad, according to the official website of the Diocese.

His Grace Bishop Timotei presented Mrs Laura Ioan Andronescu with the Diploma of St. James the Greater as a token of appreciation for all the work performed thus far in the Diocese, as well as the community of Aranjuez.

The Department for Romanians Abroad finances several parish initiatives in the Diaspora to preserve the spiritual and cultural identity of Romanians residing abroad following a protocol with the Romanian Patriarchate.
