Second day of the Synaxis of the Primates of the Orthodox Churches

The Synaxis of the Primates of the Orthodox Churches from all around the world is taking place these days at the Orthodox Center of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Chambesy, near Geneva, Switzerland.

His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania, leads the delegation of the Romanian Orthodox Church. His Eminence Hon. Metropolitan Nifon, Archbishop of Târgovişte, a member of the delegation, declared for Radio TRINITAS that on 23 January 2016, a committee was decided to be established in order to draw up the Regulations regarding the way the Holy and Great Synod will unfold.

“The committee is comprised of seven representatives of some of the Churches and aims at addressing every detail of these special Regulations starting with the way it will unfold its themes, the way of accepting observers from Orthodox Churches, or from other Christian Churches or Confessions if they are accepted. Of course, other practical details will also be considered and formulated in the Regulations. This is the mission of this committee which will start working immediately and in two day time the Regulations will be submitted to the plenary assembly of the Synaxis for approval”, his Eminence said.

The Synaxis will complete its works on 27 January 2016.
