The “Saint Philothea of Argeș” Parish in Melbourne, Australia, celebrated its patronal feast early on Sunday, coinciding with Romania’s National Day.
To mark the dual celebration, His Grace Bishop Mihail of Australia and New Zealand presided over the services within the parish community.
After the Divine Liturgy, His Grace led a Te Deum service, expressing gratitude to God for His blessings upon the Romanian people and the parish community.
According to the official website of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Australia and New Zealand, the event highlighted the strong bond between faith, national identity, and the fellowship of Romanians far from home.
