The Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Italy learned with great sorrow the news that many people, including children, died under the ruins of the collapsed Morandi brindge on the A10 highway in Genoa, and others were injured on the Forefeast of the Dormition of the Mother of God.

We pray to God for the rest of the souls of those who died, for the recovery of the injured, and for the comfort of their families.

Our Diocese, through the Linguria Deanery, and with the help of Dean Rev. Constantin Filip, will help the authorities to identify any possible Romanian victims following this disaster.
