Romanian Ambassador visits Cagliari parish during official visit to Sardinia

Her Excellency Gabriela Dancău, the Romanian Ambassador to the Republic of Italy, visited the Sardinia region on September 23-24 to mark the establishment of Romania’s Consular Agency in Cagliari.

During the visit, Ambassador Gabriela Dancău visited the “Hieromartyr Anthimos the Iberian” Parish and assured the community members of the support of the Romanian Embassy in Italy.

“I met a vibrant Romanian community in Cagliari, made up of passionate and dedicated people who have managed to organize and bring to life important projects aimed at preserving Romanian cultural identity,” she shared on social media.

Her Excellency also thanked Father Paul Cârlan, the missionary dean in Sardinia, for organizing the meeting.

During the two-day visit, the Romanian Ambassador met with the mayor of Cagliari and toured several buildings that could potentially house the future consular agency.
