Romanian Ambassador discusses cultural and spiritual cooperation with Metropolis of Bessarabia

His Excellency Cristian-Leon Țurcanu, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Moldova, paid an official visit on Tuesday to the headquarters of the Metropolis of Bessarabia in Chișinău.

With the blessing of His Eminence Petru, Archbishop of Chișinău, Metropolitan of Bessarabia, and Exarch of the Territories, the ambassador was received by His Grace Nectarie of Bogdania, Assistant Bishop of the Archdiocese of Chișinău.

Strengthening Collaboration

The discussions focused on prospects for collaboration between the Romanian Embassy and the Metropolis of Bessarabia, addressing ongoing projects and future initiatives aimed at strengthening cultural, educational, and spiritual ties between the two institutions.

The meeting also highlighted the need to intensify efforts in promoting Romanian identity and Orthodox values in Bessarabia through activities and partnerships that contribute to the affirmation of the shared spiritual and national heritage.

A Pillar of Faith and Tradition

This encounter underscored the vital role of the Metropolis of Bessarabia in preserving and promoting Romanian traditions, faith, and values, as well as the continued support provided by the Romanian State in this regard, according to representatives of the eparchy.
