His Grace Bishop Veniamin received the Romanian Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Cristian-Leon Țurcanu, on Thursday for talks focused on support for Romanian communities, cultural identity, and church projects in southern Bessarabia.
The bishop thanked the ambassador for his attention to Romanians in the region and for supporting identity-related initiatives, stressing the importance of preserving and promoting Paschal traditions in Bessarabia.
Ambassador Țurcanu congratulated Bishop Veniamin for his dedication and consistency in safeguarding shared identity and traditions.
The bishop also expressed gratitude to the Romanian government for supporting diocesan projects and thanked representatives of the Romanian state in the Republic of Moldova for their cooperation in promoting common values at the local level.
Bishop Veniamin underscored the importance of fostering dialogue among community members, noting that care for family values and the witness of faith remain pastoral priorities in the Romanian Orthodox Church’s Solemn Year of Pastoral Care for the Christian Family.
Ambassador Țurcanu also visited Țiganca Heroes Monastery on Wednesday.
