Religious Service for Meeting the Relics of Saint Nectarie at Otopeni Airport

After the holy relics of Saint Nectarie, Healer of Diseases, arrived in the Romanian territory, the reception took place at the Official Hall of Otopeni Airport where His Grace Ciprian Câmpineanul, Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch, celebrated the polichronion service, as delegate of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

His Grace welcomed His Eminence Efrem, Metropolitan of Ydra, Spetses and Eghina for visit and for bringing the holy relics of Saint Nectarie to Romania showing that the Saints meet as holy relics and gather the faithful.

There followed the speech of His Eminence Efrem who declared that it was Saint Nectarie’s desire that we should be present here, in this country.

Tomorrow, 24 October 2012, after the procession named Way of the Saints is over, the holy relics of Saint Nectarie will be laid under the canopy close the Patriarchal Cathedral together with the relics of Saint Dimitrios the New, Protector of Bucharest and those of Saint Emperor Constantine and of his mother Helen.
