Relics of Saint Nectarie arrived in Bucharest

This year, 2012, the faithful and pilgrims who will come to pray the relics of Saint Pious Dimitrios the New, Protector of Bucharest, and of Saints Emperors Constantine and Helen, Protectors of the Patriarchal Cathedral, will have the possibility to worship the holy relics of Saint Hierarch Nectarie from Eghina, healer of diseases.

Tonight, the relics of Saint Nectarie and the accompanying delegation headed by His Eminence Efrem, Metropolitan of Ydra, Spetses and Eghina arrived on 23 october 2012 at Henri Coandă International Airport of Otopeni, around 22.35 hours.

The delegation of the Romanian Orthodox Church who met the Greek delegation was made up of His Grace Ciprian Câmpineanul, Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch, His Grace Varlaam Ploieșteanul, Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch, His Grace Varsanufie Prahoveanul, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Bucharest, His Grace Vasile Someșanul, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Cluj, Rev. Timotei Aioanei, Cultural exarch of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, monks and counsellor priests.
