Nearly one hundred children have met Patriarch Daniel on Children's Day

One hundred children coming from Prahova and Cluj counties have met His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania, on Children’s Day.

The students who visited on June 1 the Palace of the Patriarchate and the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest were accompanied by their teachers from the Iuliu Hateganu elementary school in Cluj, and from the Lizeta Paul-Greceanu school in Cioceni, Prahova.

Patriarch Daniel talked with the young students and appreciated their success and good results obtained at religion Olympiads and other school contests.

We are happy that our country has many children, who are not only beautiful, but also smart, industrious and pious. We wish you much help from God in your activities. May you become adults by doing beautiful things, for the joy of your parents, teachers and colleagues, the patriarch wished the children.

After addressing congratulations, the patriarch offered up prayers for the children and their teachers and parents.

We pray to the Saviour Jesus Christ, Who said Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, to bless you all, your professors, your teachers, your educators and your parents so that you may grow up and become hard-working and generous, and bring joy to the family, the society, the Church and the Romanian nation.

According to Radio Trinitas, several children addressed the Patriarch and wished him good health and to keep a young soul.

We thank him for praying for our country, for its protection, and for everything he does for us!

We wish him to remain always a child and to have a young soul!

Finally, the young students received the patriarchal blessing of His Beatitude Daniel who presented them with religious books, magazines and sweets.
