Patriarch Theophilos III meets with Romanian Minister Natalia Intotero at the Jerusalem Patriarchate

His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III met on Saturday at the Jerusalem Patriarchate with Natalia Intotero, Romania’s Minister of Family, Youth, and Equal Opportunities.

Archimandrite Ioan Meiu, a key figure from the Romanian Patriarchate’s Representation in the Holy Land, accompanied Minister Natalia Intotero.

His Beatitude warmly welcomed Natalia Intotero and discussed the current situation in the Holy Land, as well as the ongoing armed conflict in the Gaza region.

“As a Church, our greatest weapon is powerful prayer and the call for dialogue, peace, and reconciliation,” stated Patriarch Theophilos III.

The Patriarch of Jerusalem also emphasized the Church’s mission to promote the values of the Holy Scriptures, particularly concerning the institution of the family and human dignity in the contemporary world.

At the end of the meeting, His Beatitude presented Minister Natalia Intotero with symbolic items – an icon of the Mother of God, a cross, and a painting of the Holy City – representing the values and discussions shared during the meeting.
