Patriarch Daniel welcomes Romanian Ambassador to Cyprus at his patriarchal residence

His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel received His Excellency Dan Mihalache, the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Cyprus, at the Patriarchal Residence on Wednesday.

The Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Cyprus offered details about the topics discussed with the Patriarch on his Facebook page: “I discussed with His Beatitude about the problems of the Romanian community in Cyprus and the relations between the Romanian Orthodox Church and the Orthodox Church of Cyprus in a regional context.”

Rev. Professor George Grigoriță, patriarchal adviser at the Chancellery of the Holy Synod, also participated in Wednesday’s meeting.

Earlier this month, His Excellency Dan Mihalache met with His Beatitude Archbishop George of New Justiniana and All Cyprus.

At the meeting with the Primate of the Church of Cyprus, new projects for Romanians on the island and aspects of cooperation between the two local Orthodox Churches were discussed.
