Thursday, Oct. 19, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel officiated the blessing service of a new church supply store named Sacred gifts, which was opened at Popești Leordeni, on the outskirts of Bucharest, belonging to the Workshops of the Romanian Patriarchate.

Attendees included Their Graces Varlaam of Ploiesti and Ieronim of Sinaia, assistant bishops to the Patriarch, His Grace Timotei of Prahova, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Bucharest, patriarchal and archdiocesan advisers, as well as members of the Workshops’ staff.

Following the blessing service, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel congratulated the Workshops staff, through whom God works for the manufacture of church items.

In his speech, the patriarch appreciated the opening of the supply store, saying that it is a sacred, theological work, not through words, but by images and sacred liturgical items.

Patriarch Daniel expressed his wish to continue the modernization works at the Romanian Patriarchate’s Workshops and referred to the importance of purchasing Romanian products to support the Church and the country.

If we buy products made by the Church, we help the Church. The love of homeland and the Church is also seen in the way we support them by purchasing Romanian products, the patriarch noted.

Next, Archimandrite Dionisie Constantin, patriarchal adviser and head of the Workshops, briefly presented the improvements made to the Romanian Patriarchate’s Workshops in the ten years of patriarchal ministry of HB Patr. Daniel.
