His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel of Romania celebrates his 70th birthday: Program

His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church celebrated the Divine Liturgy on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, on the feast day of the Holy and Glorious Prophet Elijah, at the Chapel dedicated to Saint Elijah at the Patriarchal Residence. His Beatitude received the name of Dan-Ilie at Baptism.

On Wednesday, July 21, 2021, a Te Deum service will be officiated at the Palace of the Patriarchate, followed by the working session of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

On Thursday, July 22, 2021, a Te Deum service will be officiated at the outdoor altar of the Patriarchal Cathedral as a thanksgiving to God for the blessings bestowed on the Romanian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel and the hierarchs, clergy, monastics and lay believers.

At the end of this service, the Anniversary Act of the Holy Synod will be read out, marking the 70th birthday of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.

After these liturgical moments, an anniversary moment will take place at the Aula Magna of the Patriarchal Palace, during which congratulatory messages will be presented from state authorities and other public institutions. At the end, a volume and an anniversary film will be presented.
