Hundreds of faithful participated Thursday, 15 December 2016, at the feast of St Eleftherios Church, patriarchal chapel, in Bucharest.
A fragment of the relics of Hieromartyr Eleftherios was placed for veneration inside the church.
His Grace Timotei of Prahova, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Bucharest, celebrated the festive Divine Liturgy. In his homily, Bishop Timotei urged the faithful to resemble Saint Eleftherios in his ministry and be confessors of the faith in Christ the Saviour.
We celebrate today the feast of a great confessor-saint. Saint Eleftherios urges all the sons and daughters of the Church to live in love and holy communion. We pray Saint Eleftherios to give us diligence to confess the words of the Gospel and the love for holy things.
