Don’t let yourself be crooked by your phones or tablets, Bishop Macarie urges

Warning the believers at Stavanger, Norway, about the addiction to new technologies, His Grace Bishop Macarie of Northern Europe said that we should not let ourselves to be crooked by our phones and tablets.

“Don’t let yourself be crooked by your phones or tablets. Lift your gaze from the screen, from this virtual sky that blinds you.”

“Look with compassion and care on the faces of those around you, then lift your eyes to heaven, looking to the Saviour Christ, from Whom all the good and perfect gift comes down,” the bishop emphasized during the Divine Liturgy on Dec. 8.
