Cooperation for the future Pan-Orthodox Synod

Press Office of the Romanian Patriarchate informs us:

A delegation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, consisting of His Eminence John, Metropolitan of Pergamon, and The Very Rev. Archimandrite Bartholomew Samaras, Secretary of the Holy Synod, came to Bucharest, from 10-12 December 2012, in order to discuss together with a delegation of the Romanian Patriarchate, made up of His Eminence Metropolitan Nifon, Archbishop of Târgoviște and Patriarchal Exarch, Rev. Prof. Viorel Ioniță, and Rev. Fr. Michael Tița, Patriarchal Counsellor, about the preparation of the future Pan-Orthodox Synod.

During the conversations, was expressed the necessity of a more intense cooperation between the Orthodox Churches in 2013 in view of preparing the future Pan-Orthodox Synod. On its working agenda there will be only the themes on which the consensus of all sister Orthodox Churches was reached.
